How Amiable is this Little one?

My good Genevieve, checking out the onslaught of rain we've had lately and thanking "Bastet" above that she's an indoor cat!   LeosCats.com   #leoscatss When she came to us from the Jessamine County Humane Society 8 years ago, Jenny and her three siblings had recently been rescued from beneath an abandoned house. "Beautiful Jenny, we're glad you are OUR indoor cat, Babe!!"

Good Morning Friends and Family!

This is who greets me each morning-- My dear "ANGEL"!    When She came to us,  ANGEL  had been living at the "Danville-Boyle Humane Society".                                                  *Visit DBHS here* She is Curious and Faithful, often follows Aiden or me around the house and possesses a special voice. Angel suffered a back injury some time ago, everyone here did what they could- my son hand-made a sling, to help take pressure from her hips and my daughter went with me to the vet to get pain medicine. I just mention this as an excuse to say "Thanks Ryley and Abbey; Angel and Dad both Love you!!"

OCEANA PIERSON- My Friend From an Un-Friendly Place!!

WE LOVE YOU OCEANA! In a VERY RARE moment, I snapped a PIC of him "CAT NAPPING".😺 Osha Pierson is our most AFFECTIONATE  Kitty, a testimony to the Forgiving and Thankful Spirit of My Good Boy!! When Linda and the Danville-Boyd Humane Society became aware of my white Sweetheart, he and 31 of his friends and Family were inside a home with no care. The homeowner was chronically ill and long-term neglect had left basic sanitation and healthcare untended to. DBHS had to obtain a court order for custody of the animals, and, with the help of local Vets, (Bless Them) nursed them all back to health!! Osha's eyes were both infected, and they all had URI's. Upon his entry into our home, Osha went straight underneath my daughter's bed and stayed all night. During the next day, I got on the floor and sang, "Rock-a-by-Baby" about 10,000 times until he slooooooooooooowly began to come out. Incrementally, Osha adjusted to all of us- he always "Gushe

The Genuine "CrookShanks" is Here!

I'd like to introduce everyone to Our Charming "CrookShanks". Co-Denizen of Kathy's craft room, blessed with a clear dislike of, and an ability to recognize, Untrustworthy People! "Crooks" moves around our house prudently ,   in a guarded manner. I guess you could say she is very wary and unwilling to take risks! My Super-Sweetie. Let me know if you can relate (We'll tell her "story" soon). Thanks for visiting us!!

Pierson's "NON-PA-REIL"- a.k.a., TINY!

Say Hello to TINY. He likes to spar with unsuspecting passersby; I surmise that's actually his way of saying, "HI" ! His personality can be Distilled down to one word- "Rambunctious". Energetic, and seemingly very happy, TINY came to us as someone who's owner was going to put him outside if she couldn't find a new home for him. Not the end of the world, OTHER THAN THE FACT HE WAS/IS DECLAWED!!!!!!  No use spending precious time talking about it now, I'm just thankful we were able to take him!! We Love you TINY!!! Tell me about you Felines, I enjoy learning about you and your pets! O.K. TINY, we agree folding a couple stacks of dish towels is a nice accomplishment for a cat, but who COULDN'T with four "Hands"?
I came across this picture the other day, and besides the HILARIOUS quote, it illustrates a contention of mine, i.e., "Cats and rabbits must be related". I mean, the split top lips, the similar structure of their rear legs... Maybe?                (Either way, don't you think their colors and patterns are nice!) I want to hear what you have to say about this funny idea. Please leave a comment!! THANKS.

We have 14 cats and You are about to meet another one: "APOLLO"-  (My middle daughter, Abigaile, has claimed from the beginning that he is hers? But that's OK, She also states her Dad Loves her Most!!) As a brief Aside, I came across this picture the other day, and besides the HILARIOUS quote, it illustrates a con

The General "Goings-On" of a former Florida Gator fan, now living in Wonderful, "Kentucky WildCat" country!

We had a BIG snow (Not really BIG by Anchorage standards, However!) and here are some PICS. Please leave your SNOW STORIES in comments- Thanks for visiting and Sharing!                                          Kids' playset and my neighbor's car.                                          The Aftermath!                                                                                 Measured on my Car's Roof! 7APRIL18 We've been having warm spells, followed by cold spells. Permanently warmer times are headed our way but that weather seems to be taking a very  circuitous   route. New life is all around and very beautiful. This morning a touch of snow greeted everyone and left me thinking, "I sure am glad we have a heater"!                                                                                                               Just a light dusting here.
